Make A Plan. Take Action.
Here is a quick breakdown of what you’re getting in this week’s issue:
Full-time RV life has been incredible for our family in so many ways. More family time. Less financial obligations to worry about.
Putting our house on the market, selling 90% of everything we own, and setting off in a “westward-ish” direction was the BEST decision my husband and I ever made.
That being said, not all of the life-changing experiences have been positive (i.e. late-night snacking on Oreos and Nutella…14 months and nearly 20 lbs later, I am rethinking this life choice ).
You may know that starting your business was the best decision you ever made. However, running a business often presents a myriad of challenges, and it’s normal to develop certain habits in response to those challenges.
Maybe it’s the overwhelming workload that led to procrastination or the fear of failure that resulted in missed opportunities. These struggles aren’t just hurdles; they’re the very fabric of our journey and breaking these habits starts with acknowledging the reasons behind them.
Take a breath and give yourself credit for making it this far. Then, move forward! Set achievable goals and develop healthier habits because every step you take toward breaking bad habits is a step closer to a more successful, balanced, and growth-oriented business.
Nothing kills productivity faster than the fatigue that sets in when you are under constant pressure to perform.
3 ways to calm yourself down so you can focus:
2 min of controlled deep breathing
Go for a 10-20 min walk (listen to a podcast or
music to distract your brain)
Set a timer for 5 min and braindump everything you are stressing about. Cross off the things you can’t control. Choose 1 thing you can control and prioritize finding a solution for that problem first.
Confession: I HATE the client avatar exercise. I don’t know where my fictitious client shops, what TV shows she watches, and how she takes her coffee. Nor do I care. But the truth is that knowing specifically who you are speaking to makes creating your content and offer soooo much easier.
And, in a digital world where your ideal client/customer is inundated with information, tailoring your messaging to their personal preferences stands as a beacon of light.
CHOOSE A REAL HUMAN BEINGBut rather than just guessing at what your target audience is thinking and feeling, why not ask a real person to tell you?! Focus on open-ended questions that explore their past experiences, desires, pain points, and specific expectations, allowing them to express their needs freely and take notes! Use their answers to personalize your message addressing behaviors and needs that cultivate a connection with your larger audience that goes beyond mere conversation with them —it becomes a conversation that matters to them. This personalized approach not only captures attention but also builds trust, loyalty, and a sense of understanding. In a saturated market, personal touch elevates your message from noise to relevance and becomes the compass guiding your audience to what truly matters to them. |
1) Clear communication and expectations provide clarity that enables your team to make informed decisions and solve problems independently.
2) Matching tasks with the skills and interests of your team members encourages creativity and boosts their confidence, resulting in higher performance.
3) Encourage independence coupled with accountability by granting your team permission to explore and implement new ideas with the understanding that they are responsible for the results.
Stumbling doesn’t mean you’re out of the race. Failures aren’t the end. They teach you resilience, make you sharper, and help you bounce back stronger.
Embracing setbacks as valuable learning opportunities transforms them from stumbling blocks to stepping stones.
So, when things don’t quite go as planned, take it in your stride. Learn, adapt, and keep rolling. It’s not about the falls; it’s about how you get up and hustle on. You got this!
