"May the God of hope fill you will all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit, you may about in hope." - Romans 5:13

For far too long, I relied on my external circumstances to bring me happiness which left me riding a roller coaster I couldn't stop.

But when I finally realized that true peace came from what God was doing WITHIN me, I realized that I could be joyful despite chaotic, stressful, or sad circumstances.

That doesn't mean I don't ever get upset, anxious, cranky, or angry BUT - I don't stay that way for long because I know where my hope comes from.

I know how busy life can get and that is natural to skip time with God because there are things going on that need your immediate attention.

But when we neglect our personal relationship with God, it WILL eventually effect every area of our lives.

So here were are just a couple of days before Easter -

the most important celebration in Christianity (yes, friend, it actually trumps Christmas)

and I struggle to get on board with the title given to this day of the week…

Good Friday

Seriously. What was so “good” about it?

From a human perspective - NOTHING!! 💔

But from God's perspective - EVERYTHING!!

God saw the beginning of the NEW covenant between Him and those who believe in Jesus. ❤️

And that is better than just "good."

It's AWESOME!

Henceforth, I vote we call this day AWESOME FRIDAY.

It was an ordinary Thursday night.

Pizza for dinner, family time, and before the 7 kids headed to bed. Lisa cleaned up and kissed her husband goodnight.

"I'll be there in a few minutes," he said.

A few hours later, Lisa woke up to his heavy breathing and that was the moment when her world would be forever changed.

𝗪𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗲 𝗜 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗱𝗲𝗲𝗽𝗹𝘆 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗚𝗼𝗱 𝘀𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗯𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝗚𝗼𝗱𝗹𝘆 𝘄𝗼𝗺𝗮𝗻...

𝗜 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲𝗻'𝘁 𝗮𝗹𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗲𝗻𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗕𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗳𝗶𝗴𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗲𝘅𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗹𝘆!

And because we live in a culture where "self" matters more than sacrifice, trying to live counterculturally as a Christian woman is very confusing and frustrating.

𝗔𝗻𝗱 𝗜 𝗞𝗡𝗢𝗪 𝗜 𝗮𝗺 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗼𝗻𝗹𝘆 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝘄𝗵𝗼 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗳𝗲𝗹𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘄𝗮𝘆.

And that's why I created a course that helps Christian women develop stronger faith habits!!
